At National Youth Theatre we inspire, train, and showcase exceptional performers and theatre technicians aged 14-25 from Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Each year we reach out across the UK to discover diverse new talent.

Their training is unique because they believe that the best place for young performers to learn is on stage in front of an audience. They showcase young talent on West End stages, in stadiums world-wide and at iconic sites both at home and abroad. They commission brave and relevant new writing and reinterpret classic stories for our time. They are as ambitious as the young people we serve.

Each year they reach out nationally to audition 5,000 young people across 30 towns and cities around the UK; from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
They hold auditions for a variety of projects, ranging from our general intake auditions to all sorts of casting calls.

Casting Auditions

The auditions are now open for our 2016 Summer Courses and Membership at the Early Bird rate of £35. Once all the early bird slots are taken the audition fee will increase. Please note you have 30 minutes to register, book and pay for your audition. If you have booked an audition before please login first and then book the audition.

They carry out casting auditions for NYT Members in order to cast the perfect candidate for our REP Company and our Season of work. A successful applicant will receive further information from an NYT staff informing them of the next steps. As with any audition there is always competition, so don’t fret if you weren’t selected this time there will be plenty of opportunities from NYT.
